Visiting your own site every so often to see how it reads is a good idea – keeping your content fresh is important for generating return  and  new traffic. Read your monthly traffic reports and see how people are finding you and what keywords they are using. Check how effective your promotions and blog posts are at driving traffic back to your website and see how long people stay there.

Finally, are you receiving contacts and completed sales through your website? If not, it may be time for an update.
